Serving widows: «Son has returned me to real life»
With the support of our friends from the United States, the Global Christian Support ministry continues to help widows whose husbands died, defending the integrity of Ukraine. Last week, the senior chaplain Gennady Makarovich, visited the family of the deceased Pushunyak Pavel, born on January 21, 1978.
The widow Lyubov and her son Roman were happy to share the conversation and with great gratitude they accepted financial assistance, which helped her to cover part of the debt for municipal services.
Pushnyak Pavel Anatolyevich died on August 6, 2014 in the Donetsk region. He served in the brigade 72, where he was assigned the task of covering the waste of the company. As a result of the shelling, Paul was wounded, and without regaining consciousness, he died. Before the war, the man was engaged in business, always had a strong will, high moral principles, had the respect of others and led a sober lifestyle.
When the Maidan began in Kiev, Pavel volunteered and actively supported the protesters, was critical of the use of alcoholic drinks among the protesters and, by personal example, sought the responsible attitude of the twin cities on Maidan. His 36th birthday, on February 21, Paul met on the Maidan. On the same day of the following year, the man signed up as a volunteer, he was given a military rank - senior sergeant, because in his time he graduated from three courses while studying at the Kiev Higher Tank School.
Talking about her husband, Lubov recalled her husbandsanitized_by_modx& #39s gentle attitude to her and her son. She still cannot believe what happened. After this grief, the family experienced the burden of poverty and uncertainty. Lubov felt very sad. The son returned her to real life. His son Roman is 17 years old now, he was left without a father just at the age when his fathersanitized_by_modx& #39s love is needed more than ever ... The boy often remembers him.
The pension for the loss of the breadwinner, the family was issued recently, since Ukraine did not have any practice and experience in paying benefits to the deceased and in drawing up pensions for widows.
During the meeting, the chaplain testified of Christ, prayed for the widow. The woman is very open to fellowship with believers and to God. Lubov understands that being in such status, faith in God is the only way not to break and stay on your feet.
Lubov and her son Roma were very grateful for the material and moral assistance provided, for them it was very important!
We sincerely thank our friends from the USA – the Pavenkos, Sergey and Valentina, and also the Kirichenkos Alexey and Alina for the help rendered to widows and their children. May the Lord bless you and your families!
