Last week with the support of our friends from the USA, the Global Christian Support ministry and our volunteer Yuliia Khoroshailo visited and provided financial assistance to widow Tatiana Danilenko, whose husband died of a tumor this year.
Danilenko family lives in Selezniovka village, Donetsk region. In 2019, Tatyana lost her husband and now she has to provide and feed her family alone. Now her three daughters live with her: Katia is 23 years old, Nadia is 11 years old and Olia is 7 years old.
During the hostilities, their house was heavily shelled, and traces of shelling are still visible. The family has very great financial difficulties, they stayed at home all the time of the war, did not go anywhere, even when there were battles in the village. The destruction has remained to these days. The family hid in the cellar and miraculously avoided death for several times; when the shells burst in the house, they managed to run to other rooms. Once a mine hit the cellar, the roof of the house was destroyed.
As a result of the experienced stress, father had a tumor and died in February 2, 2019. After that, the youngest girl Olia had not talk for a long time, she was silent, closed in herself. In order to feed the children, Tatiana started a small farm and now the family lives on the money earned by this. The family has financial difficulties and all members of the family are psychologically injured. Daughter Nadia helps her mother with the housework and helps her younger sister. Living conditions are very poor. Children study at a local school in the village. The house is still not fully restored after shelling.
Having visited the Danilenko family, we brought food and household chemicals for them, also bought building materials for the ceiling repair.
We express our sincere gratitude to our friends from the United States - the family of Sergey and Valentina Pavenko, as well as Alexei and Alina Kirichenko for the assistance provided to the widows and their children. May the Lord bless you and your families!
