The second day of the Christmas tour for the children from the war zone in eastern Ukraine, the Global Christian Support team spent in the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region.

The holiday was organized for children and families of the Luhansk region patrol police officers. Thanks to the invitation and help of the chaplains, who have been serving in the patrol police department for a year, our team prepared the celebration, filled with joy and fun for more than 100 children and their families.

Before the celebration, Global Christian Support volunteers arrived to patrol police department, where police officers met them. They prepared a sightseeing tour of Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk for the volunteers, showed the area where active hostilities took place, many Ukrainian soldiers, including police officers died there.

After the sightseeng tour, the GCS team with the police officers visited 10 low-income families and brought them New Year gifts. Children and their parents were surprised by that fact that not only volunteers, but also police arrived in their homes to wish them a Merry Christmas and create a festive atmosphere.

In the evening, there was Christmas celebration for the children and families of patrol police officers. It was very pleasant and unusual to see the hall full of people wearing police uniforms, smiling happily and rejoicing for their children.

Many parents were glad that our team organized such a wonderful holiday for their children. They were impressed that not only they help children (since the police have been donating their money to support orphans for several years), but the others have a desire to spend time with their own families, support and congratulate them during this bright holiday.

The Global Christian Support team held a Christmas tour in the city of Lysychansk together with the local church and pastor Nikolai Naumov, the chaplain who serves the families of police officers.

We thank to the patrol police department and the local church of Lysychansk for the invitation and for enormous help in organizing of this event.

Thanks for your friendliness and warm welcome! We value your contribution to the life and fate of children and we know that it will have a positive result in the future for our country.
