Football with the team of the Zhytomyr Penitentiary Institution number 8

For the first time, a football game took place between the staff of the state institution “Zhytomyr Penitentiary Institution (No. 8)” and the sports team of the public formation “Capellan Patrol”.

  On June 4, 2021, the football teams of the state institution “Zhytomyr Penitentiary Institution (No. 8)” and the public formation “Capellan Patrol” met for the first time.

  The intense course of football, the virtuosity of the attackers, the cohesion of the defense, the skill of the goalkeepers, all the passions were truly appreciated only by the players and fans.  Of course, friendship won in this match.

  As the team captain Vitaly Zakharchenko noted: “The main goal of this event was to support the chaplain movement and popularize a healthy lifestyle, in particular through sports competitions in football.  The sports team of the public formation "Capellan Patrol" quite often and repeatedly took part in various competitions in Ukraine and abroad, and the team even has active football coaches. "

Together with words of support, the participants of the football match received gift sets, good mood and experience of a professional game.

In turn, the sports team of chaplains was introduced to the main facilities of the state institution “Zhytomyr Penitentiary Institution (No. 8)”.  They told the facts about its creation and functioning in different periods of time.

The pilot project of the public formation "Chaplain Patrol" is aimed at increasing the level of moral and psychological support and pastoral care of the staff of the institution, which began in August 2020.
